Fold-Formed Rounded Rectangle Earrings

I made these earrings by cutting the basic shape and then fold forming the “X” on them.  The way fold forming works I could only do one crease and then hammer it tight at a time.  Then while it’s still folded I heat the metal to almost the melting point so I can open it.  Then I can do the second crease.  Once that far I use my torch to oxidize the metal and give it the rich red colors.  Finally I sealed these earrings so they would not continue to change color due to oxidation.  I hang all of my earrings on Sterling silver so we don’t risk turning your ear lobes green from exposure to copper.
