Time and experience have taught me that to produce ART it takes a dialogue, a dialogue between the materials and the artist.  In fact, it’s a negotiation.  I say to the silver and the stones “This is what I want you to do.” and the art piece replies “I’d rather do this.”  Yes, the art object has a “life” of its own.  The negotiation between art and artist results in an art work, but the conversation doesn’t end there.  There is another dialogue between the people who wear the art and the art work.

In the case of jewelry, it’s about how it makes you feel when you wear it, and what others see when they see it on you.  As an artist I make jewelry for you to wear.
